Synopsis

The Sweetland Trilogy covers a period of about twenty years, from shortly after the discovery of the planet, Sweetland, until its final resolution in the great sentient forest of that planet. It is an epic family adventure which follows Joe Larivee, his daughter Jessie, her husband Michel, and their son, Joey; Joe’s former spouse, Jolene Cheng; Joe’s former lover, Bridge Whitedeer, and their daughter, Molly; as well as a host of other characters on two worlds as they try to come to terms with a new reality. It is an exploration of the nature of reality and our perception of it, and how, as a society, our past reproduces itself in the present, and so shapes our future.
